BEIJING, Dec. 12 (Yonhap) -- North Korea's all-female propaganda band abruptly returned to Pyongyang on Saturday, according to news reports.

The Moranbong Band was scheduled to perform for three days in Beijing from Saturday, in an apparent sign of warming relations between the two countries.

However, members of the Moranbong Band were seen departing for Pyongyang earlier in the day at the Beijing airport, according to a photo published by Hong Kong-based Phoenix's Website.

Japan's Kyodo News reported that the North Korean band returned to Pyongyang "for unknown reasons."
