(과달라하라 AFP=연합뉴스) 25일(현지시간) 멕시코 할리스코주 과달라하라에서 기자들이 "언론인들에 대한 살인이 진실마저 죽일 수는 없다"라는 문구가 적힌 손팻말과 최근 피살된 언론인 3명의 사진 등을 든 채 시위를 벌이고 있다. 이날 멕시코 언론은 여성 언론인 루르데스 말도나도 로페스(68)가 이틀 전 바하칼리포르니아주 티후아나 자택 외부에 세워진 차 안에서 총에 맞아 숨진 채 발견됐다고 전했다. 그는 올해 들어 살해된 3번째 언론인이며, 지난 2019년 3월 안드레스 마누엘 로페스 오브라도르 대통령의 정례 기자회견에 참석해 "목숨을 잃을까 두렵다"며 도움을 호소한 인물이기도 하다. 2022.1.26 knhknh@yna.co.kr (끝)

(모렐리아 EPA/EFE=연합뉴스) 25일(현지시간) 멕시코 미초아칸주의 모렐리아에서 언론계 종사자들이 최근 잇따르고 있는 언론인 피살에 대한 진상 규명을 촉구하며 추모 촛불을 밝히고 있다. 멕시코 전역에서는 이날 수천 명의 언론인이 이런 추모 집회와 시위에 동참했다. 멕시코는 마약 카르텔이나 당국의 비리 등을 파헤치던 언론인이 목숨을 잃는 경우가 많아 올들어서만 3명이 피살됐다. 시민단체 '아티클19'에 따르면 2000~2001년 두 해 동안 살해된 언론인이 모두 145명에 달한다. 2022.1.26 sungok@yna.co.kr (끝)
