(헬싱키 AFP=연합뉴스) 핀란드의 사울리 니니스퇴 대통령(오른쪽)과 산나 마린 총리(왼쪽)가 15일(현지시간) 헬싱키 대통령궁에서 기자회견을 통해 북대서양조약기구(NATO·나토) 가입을 신청키로 공식 결정했다고 밝히고 있다. 니니스퇴 대통령은 "오늘 대통령과 정부 외교정책위원회는 의회와 상의를 거쳐 핀란드가 나토 가입을 신청할 것이라는 데 공동으로 합의했다"면서 "이는 역사적인 날이고 새 시대가 열리고 있다"고 말했다. 2022.05.16 jsmoon@yna.co.kr (끝)
